New beginnings for Cohort 2
The second cohort of the Whanake Ake 1-to-Many programme commenced on August 17 with eight participants geared up and ready to start their new pakihi journey. The participants shared their basic business idea and through whakawhanaungatanga connections were made instantly and the vibe was high. They shared their appreciation for such an opportunity in a process that some had previously found overwhelming.
An hour into class, we received notice of the Alert Level 4 and Aotearoa moving into lockdown. Never the less, we were quick to act and took the appropriate steps to move our classes online. Our participants are now enrolled into google classroom and are reaping the benefits of having more time to focus on their pakihi. We now look forward to supporting and watching our participants pakihi ideas develop into reality. Pakihi ideas from this cohort include:
Pamper Packages & Services
Event Management - Focusing on youth events
Organic Vegetable Growing
Forestry Services & Contracting
And more!
