Whanake Ake is a unique service specifically tailored to each whānau we work with who wants to access the Flexi-Wage for Self-Employment. Ensuring you receive a culturally appropriate experience that will ignite your business success.

We will support you in completing your Business Plan as part of your application process. Flexi-wage is one of the ways the Ministry of Social Development is supporting more whānau into work. Helping start their own business through business planning support and covering business start up costs.

This service is fully funded for whānau currently receiving financial assistance from MSD and approved to apply.

WHAKARURUHAU MENTORING

If you have been approved for the Flexi-Wage for Self-Employment, you may be eligible to access ten free mentoring sessions in the next phases of launching and growing your business. Our Whakaruruhau service supports you through the first 6 months of operating your pakihi (business) culminating in helping you deliver your 6-monthly report to MSD as part of your Flexi-Wage accountability requirements.
